Biography
Dr Bryan Coad is a Senior Research Fellow in the School of Agriculture, Food and Wine. He leads an academic, multidisciplinary research group at the intersection of physical chemistry, materials science, and biology. This group works towards developing bioactive, nano-engineered material surface coatings and biomaterials through fundamental research. Apart from academic research, Dr Coad has research and development experience working in/for industrial collaborations such as Cooperative Research Centres (CRCs) and the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO). In these areas, Dr Coad's research impact has included research toward commercial product innovation and development. Dr Coad is active in the biomaterials community and is currently the elected Executive Officer for the Australasian Society for Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering (ASBTE).
