Biography
Carol Johnson's main research interests are in Australian politics, the politics of gender and sexuality, the politics of emotion and analyses of ideology and discourse. She also has a particualr interest in the domestic implications fo Australian enaggament with Asia. Her applied research interests particulalry focus on how Governments govern social, economic and technological change. For example, she worked with the SA Department of Further Education, Employment, Science and Technology to establish a research cluster across the three major SA universities, "Managing Diversity and Social Inclusion in a Time of Change", under the state government's then Constellation SA initiative. In 2013, she co-convened the national Federal Election Workshop (with John Wanna) at ANU.
