Biography
Dr Hamish Philpott is a gastroenterologist and early career researcher who has completed a PhD at Monash University related to eosinophilic esophagitis. Dr Philpott received a NHMRC scholarship to support his PhD studies, and since became the Philip Bushell Foundation Research Travel Award recipient for 2016/17, and has additional research funding from the philanthropic organisation for eosinophilic disease (ausEE). He has >40 research publications, most of which relate to eosinophilic gastrointestinal disease. Dr Philpott returned from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill in June 2017, and has taken up a staff specialist position in Adelaide (Northern Adelaide Local Health Network/University of Adelaide).
