Biography
Dr. Ranasinghe is a Senior Research Fellow in the Discipline of Medicine at the University of Adelaide and a Cardiologist at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in Adelaide, Australia. He leads the Health Performance and Policy Research Unit at the Basil Hetzel Institute for Translational Research which focuses on generating research output that informs clinical and policy strategies to improve the quality of care delivered by Australian hospitals. Dr. Ranasinghe received his medical degree (2013) from the University of Auckland, New Zealand and completed his internal medicine and cardiology training at The Concord Repatriation & General Hospital in Sydney, Australia. He received his Master’s degree in Clinical Epidemiology (2008) and a Ph.D. (2012) from the University of Sydney. He was a visiting Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Center for Outcomes Research at Yale University from 2013-14.
