Biography
Javed is a research scientist who is passionate about pharmacology and mental health. He studied his bachelor's degree at the University of Adelaide, and completed his honours year in 2016, graduating with First Class Honours in the top band. Javed is now undertaking a PhD in pharmacology, aiming to develop a novel pharmacological treatment for clinical depression. He has suffered from depression in the past, as have several of his family members and friends. As such, Javed knows the devastation that mental illness can cause, and is inspired to prevent this devastation from occurring to others.
