Biography
Jesse Coombs is a postdoctoral fellow researching gas pipeline blowdown noise prediction and abatement. He completed his PhD from research conducted at the School of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Adelaide in 2017. He obtained his Bachelor degrees in Engineering and Science from the University of Adelaide in 2010. From 2012 to 2017 Jesse was engaged in PhD study on the topic of numerical aeroacoustics. His research has focused on the understanding and control of flow-induced noise with the aim of quietening modern technologies such as submarines, wind turbines and aircraft and gas pipelines.
