Biography
Dr Matthew Baldock is the Deputy Director the Centre for Automotive Safety Research at the University of Adelaide, where he has worked in the field of road safety research for 20 years. He has a background in psychology, and was awarded a PhD in 2004 for his thesis, "Self regulation of the driving behaviour of older drivers". In addition to older drivers, his other areas of research have included: in-depth crash investigation, impaired driving, motorcycle safety, heavy vehicles, unlicensed driving, driver distraction, level crossings, young drivers, in-vehicle driver assistance systems, and traffic offence penalties.
