Biography
Professor Faculty of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences Nigel Cook is a mineralogist-geologist with research interests in complex ore deposits, sulphide mineralogy, geochemistry and ore processing. He obtained his PhD from the University of London, U.K. in 1988. He has worked in Canada, Germany and Norway before joining The University of Adelaide in 2009. He is Deputy Director of the ARC Research Hub for Australian Copper-Uranium. Nigel is Past President of the International Association on the Genesis of Ore Deposits (IAGOD) and was editor-in-Chief of Ore Geology Reviews between 2003 and 2011.
