Biography
Dr (Klaus) Oliver Schubert. My research focuses on the molecular underpinnings of psychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and major depression. I am particularly interested in transcriptomic and proteomic signatures of clinical endophenotypes (subtypes), treatment response and treatment resistance. This research is facilitated through a number of growing clinical cohorts (e.g. mood disorders, psychotic disorders, perinatal mental health) developed at the Discipline of Psychiatry, as well as through post-mortem brain research and animal models. I have a clinical special interest in Youth Mental Health and in the treatment of Early Psychosis.
