Biography
Patrick completed his Undergraduate degree in Chemistry at the University of Adelaide in 2014. In 2016 he completed his Masters of Philosophy in Chemistry with a Dean's Commendation for research on N-heterocyclic carbenes in metal-organic frameworks under the supervision of Prof. Christopher Sumby. Patrick is currently a PhD candidate with Prof. Andrew Abell, working on combining fluorescent nitrogen-vacancy nanodiamonds with fluorescent sensors for biologically relevant species. Patrick is also a member of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Nanoscale BioPhotonics and the Institute for Photonics and Advanced Sensing.
