Biography
Raman's current research focuses on understanding the molecular pathways altered by the gene variants associated with intellectual disability and neurodegeneration. Since 2010, he has attracted funding from the Australian Research Council, Channel 7 Children's Research Foundation, Women's and Children's Hospital Foundation, Cancer Council/National Breast Cancer Foundation and Cancer Council Queensland. Raman was awarded a UICC Yamagiwa-Yoshida Memorial International Cancer Fellowship funded by the Union for International Cancer Control (Switzerland) to work in the US for his work in Cancer Biology, which was published in Molecular and Cellular Biology in 2013. In recognition to his in the US, he was inducted as an Life-time Honorary Fellow of the UICC.
