Biography
My research interest since I started my PhD at the University of Padua (Italy) has been plant physiology and viticulture. My research focuses on providing tangible outcomes for the wine industry and for growers. To date, I have mostly been engaged in climate change-related research. Since my PhD (graduated in 2008) I have contributed to advances in knowledge in 5 areas of research: 1) physiology of water stress and recovery in grapevine, 2) carbohydrate metabolism in grapevine, 3) innovative technologies for vineyard management, 4) grapevine canopy management and vine balance, 5) performance of old and young vines
