Biography
My research focuses on the understanding of river styles and the controls and mechanisms (e.g. river avulsion and bar formation) governing their formation. I combine numerical modeling and field observation to understand these systems. My research provides insights relevant to a broad range of applications spanning oil and gas exploration to river management. I have previously worked in a broad range of projects ranging from the responses of ancient ecosystems to climate change to the understanding of the tectonic evolution and closure of the Panama Isthmus. My diverse research background reflects my interest on the investigation of landscape evolution from an integrated systems perspective.
