Biography
I have conducted systematic reviews (with the Cochrane Collaboration and the Joanna Briggs Institute) and worked as a researcher in evidence-based health since 2004. I am particularly interested in evaluating the effectiveness of healthcare interventions, understanding how to improve patient safety, and successful knowledge translation in clinical practice. I was previously Technical Director at the Australian Patient Safety Foundation (2008-15) and I hold an adjunct Research Fellow position with Joanna Briggs Institute and the School of Psychology, Social Work and Social Policy (University of South Australia). My current roles in the School of Nursing, University of Adelaide include supporting research activities in the School, analysis of quantitative data and postgraduate coordination. I conduct lectures in NURSING 1010OL 'Research Methods and Evidence Based Practice' and lead problem-based learning and small group discovery experience classes across the undergraduate nursing courses.
