Dr Tim Murphy completed his PhD studies at the University of Adelaide, Roseworthy Campus in 2003 when he was appointed as Project Officer with the National Centre for Pork Industry Training and Education. In this position he coordinated a successful research and training programme for pork producers and postgraduate students across Australia and New Zealand. Tim oversees research which is clinically based and relates primarily to gastrointestinal motor, sensory, and hormonal function, particularly in the context of diabetes mellitus, appetite regulation, critical illness and aging. Tim was awarded the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences Executive Dean’s Medal (2015) and completed a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) in 2016. Tim is highly motivated, has outstanding interpersonal and organisational skills and a strong work ethic – he enjoys the success of others, particularly when he has been in some way able to facilitate this success.
