Biography
Dr Togay Ozbakkaloglu received his PhD from the University of Ottawa, Canada in 2005. Dr Ozbakkaloglu's research focuses on the development of new technologies to improve the reliability and performance of civil infrastructure. His specific expertise concerns the development and modelling of: i) special concretes, including high-performance concretes and concretes prepared with waste materials and ii) sustainable and resilient fiber reinforced polymer (FRP)–concrete composite structural systems. Dr Ozbakkaloglu has published over 160 peer-reviewed research papers, including 88 journal articles that appeared in the leading disciplinary journals and over 70 international conference papers. In addition to being the Associate Editor for the ASCE Journal of Structural Engineering, Dr Ozbakkaloglu is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Recent Patents on Engineering, Regional Editor of the Open Construction & Building Technology Journal, and Associate Editor for the Australian Journal of Civil Engineering. He also serves on the Editorial Board of 10 international journals. Dr Ozbakkaloglu regularly contributes to international conferences through invited and keynote lectures, and he been a member of the International Scientific Committe in over 40 international conferences. He also serves as an invited reviewer for international funding bodies and over 50 SCI journals.
