Biography
I am a public health expert with a special interest in data management, analysis, and interpretation of epidemiological, nutrition, and clinical studies. My research interest in nutrition ranges from undernutrition and its consequences to dietary risk factors of non-communicable diseases. Between January 2009 and July 2015, I was working in the School of Public Health, Mekelle University, at different academic and research positions. Between October 2013 and July 2015, I also led Kilite-Awlaelo Health and Demographic Surveillance System (KA-HDSS) with a responsibility of designing field studies, and data management and analysis. I have been published in several peer-reviewed academic journals in the areas of public health, epidemiology, and nutrition. Currently, I am a Ph.D Candidate (Medicine/Nutritional Epidemiology) at The University of Adelaide under the supervision of A/Prof Zumin Shi, Dr Tiffany K Gill and
