Biography
From within the broad domain of maternal and newborn health, my research focus is on nutrition and adolescent health. In my current program of work under the mentorship of a multidisciplinary team of researchers within the Robinson Research Institute and the Centre for Global Food and Resources at the University of Adelaide, I am working on preparing research projects on combating non-communicable diseases in the Asia-Pacific region. I am also working on understanding how food insecurity influences health and wellbeing in adolescents in disadvantaged populations in Australia and in rapidly urbanising countries overseas, to shed light on why obesity interventions have had limited success in these populations.
