Biography
Dr. Xue completed his PhD in Geotechnical Engineering from University College Dublin (UCD) in 2006. He worked at UCD as a post-doctoral researcher for half a year before he joined Coffey Geotechnics as a geotechnical engineer in Perth, Western Australia. Before he joined Gippsland Campus in March 2009, he worked as a lecturer in the Department of Geotechnical Engineering, Tongji University, China. He was secretary to the Director of Key Laboratory of Geotechnical and Underground Engineering (Tongji University), Minister of Education, China, during that period. He has extensive experience in numerical modelling and centrifuge modelling. His current teaching activities cover the areas of geotechnical engineering, structural engineering and road engineering.
