Biography
Dominic's research explores the effects of agricultural policy on the health and wellbeing of farmers, with a particular focus on farm exit and the transition out of farming. The research is primarily quantitative statistical analyses, but with some qualitative elements including interviewing. It incorporates methods from public health, sociology, demography, and economics. Dominic is also a research assistant for the Regional Wellbeing Survey, which looks at the health and wellbeing of people living in rural and regional Australia. This is the largest survey of its kind and provides an extremely valuable resource for health researchers with an interest in rural Australia. Dominic is involved in all aspects of the survey from initial design to programming, data management, and reporting.
