Biography
"Ann joined the USC Occupational Therapy team in January 2014. Prior to that she was a lecturer and member of the research and development team at the University of Applied Sciences Tyrol in Austria. Ann graduated as an occupational therapist from the University of South Australia in 1994 and then worked in England, the United States and Germany, gaining clinical experience in adult rehabilitation, community rehabilitation and paediatrics. She received her Master of Occupational Therapy from the University of South Australia in 2002 and was awarded her PhD from The University of Queensland in 2013. Ann has worked in the tertiary education sector since 2006 in several different roles including practice educator, lecturer and researcher. She is a Visiting Fellow in Allied Health with the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service and her primary research interests are supporting the caregivers of children with disabilities, play, and the connection between participation and well-being."
Research Interest
Participation and well-being play developmental coordination disorder (DCD) supporting caregivers of children with disabilities cross-cultural adaptation of assessments and occupational therapy tools.
