Biography
"Dr Sharn Donnison is a Senior Lecturer in Education within the School of Education. Her area of research is principally focused on the First Year in Higher Education and teacher education. Currently, she is investigating curriculum approaches to best support first year teacher education students. Her previous work has focused on various aspects of the Gen Y pre-service teacher such as their cultural models and discourses about technologies, lifelong learning and the future. She has also researched in the area of alternative forms of education, particularly practices and pedagogies of home-schooling parents. Sharn teaches into the social sciences. Her main teaching areas are curriculum, studies of society and the environment, and the sociology of education."

First year in higher education, curriculum design and development in the first year in higher education, pre-service teacher education.
