Biography
Dr. CHRISTINE JORM has doctorates in neuropharmacology and sociology and am a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists. She practiced as an anaesthetist for more than 15 years before my interest in quality assurance led to full time work in patient safety and quality. She was recruited as a foundation staff member for the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care in 2006 and was responsible for providing specialist safety and quality advice.
Research Interest
Medical culture, organisational culture, safety and quality, healthcare communication, peer assessment, professionalism, interprofessional education and practice, simulation, infection control practice, videoethnography, the human factors associated with mobile phone use, meaningful measurement of health care quality and use of healthcare data to improve care.
