Biography
Dr. Amon is a lecturer for the Bachelor of Health Sciences within the Discipline of Behavioural and Social Sciences in Health. Her interests lie in developing and evaluating new programs using technology for mental health and in higher education. She has research experience in child and adolescent mental health and technology and has a strong interest in eHealth and social media in research. Her research experience in these areas involved the use of biofeedback video games to assist children and adolescents with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, training health students interviewing skills using simulation technology for health practice, and using Facebook for research recruitment.
Research Interest
Dr. Amon is a part of the Interdisciplinary eHealth Advancement and Research Team (IeHART) which won the 2014 Faculty of Health Sciences Collaborative Research Scheme. Krestina’s research interests include; Adolescent mental health Serious games and technology for health and learning Social media in research and learning
