Biography
A/Prof Kate Wyburn is a Senior Staff SpecialistNephrologist and Transplant Physician at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney and a Clinical A/Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Central Clinical School, University of Sydney. She has a long-standing interest in immunology and its relationship to renal disease, and undertook a PhD in Transplant Immunology at The University of Sydney. A/Prof Kate Wyburn is the current Chair of the NSW Transplant Advisory Committee and a member of the national Renal Transplant Advisory Committee. She is involved in NSW donor medical suitability assessment programs and review committees. Her main clinical and research interests include highly sensitised kidney transplantation, both HLA and ABO incompatible and B cell immunobiology.
