Biography
Marcus’ research focuses on the social, persuasive and educational dimensions and experiences of game play. He has studied and published on a wide range of games, including EVE Online, DayZ, Candy Crush Saga, Warhammer 40,000 and the reality TV series Survivor. Marcus also has an ongoing research interest in animal-human play, and the field of animal-computer interaction. His research is centered on a user-centered design project developing novel digital games for Orangutans in collaboration with Zoos Victoria.
