Biography
Public health physician involved in the health care of refugees for over 20 years, overseas (Pakistan and Hong Kong) and in Australia. Since 1999, he has been Director of the NSW Refugee Health Service, which undertakes health assessments, health education, teaching and research regarding people of refugee background living in NSW. Dr Smith provides advice on refugee health policy at local, state,andnational levels. He is a member of the Refugee Health Network of Australia and the NSW TB Advisory Committee.
