Biography
Sharon Coyle joined the University of Sydney in 2015. She holds a PhD, a Masters of Business Studies and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the National University of Ireland Galway (NUIG). Sharon has an active interest in research relating to IS project management and has published and presented her work internationally including the International Conference in Information Systems (ICIS), the European Conference in Information Systems (ECIS), the Australasian Conference on Information Systems (ACIS), the International Conference on Information Systems Development (ISD) as well as top-tiered journals such as IEEE Software. Sharon is particularly interested in research pertaining to agile software development where her PhD investigated group decision quality within agile teams. Sharon previously worked as a lecturer and Director of the MBS E-Commerce Programme at NUIG. Since 2009, she has designed and delivered a variety of courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level some of which include, Contemporary Project Management, Business Systems Analysis, Business Systems Design & Implementation, IS Innovation and E-Commerce. She has also been responsible for new course design and delivery via distance and blended learning. Prior to joining academia, Sharon gained extensive industry experience in her work as a Management Consultant for Accenture where she worked on variety of high-profile projects for government bodies and financial services institutes.
