Biography
Dr Hugh Sibly is a senior lecturer in Economics at the Tasmanian School of Business and Economics. He teaches in the areas of industrial organisation, game theory and microeconomics. His research interests are in experimental/behaviour economics, urban water markets and industrial organisation.
Research Interest
Hugh's work on urban water pricing aligns with the University's theme area of Environment, Resources and Sustainability. In this work Hugh investigates how to most efficiently allocate available urban water over the climate cycle.Hugh's work in the areas of behavioural and experimental economics aligns with Creativity, Culture and Society. In particular his work indicates how social comparisons and cooperative preferences shape economic interactions.
