Biography
Karen completed her PhD at the University of Western Australia, before moving to Tasmania. She has been in her current role since 2011.
Research Interest
Karen's research aligns with the University's research theme of Creativity, Culture and Society. Her research explores how the past is reimagined in the present across a range of creative disciplines: from medievalism in Victorian photography and contemporary film and television to Tasmanian convict and colonial heritage in ephemeral and site-specific contemporary art.
