Biography
Prior to commencing at the University of Tasmania, Mr Arnott held a senior executive position in the Victorian Community Health Sector and an academic role with the School of Nursing and Midwifery at La Trobe University in Melbourne. He has considerable expertise in primary health care, public/population health, post-acute care and chronic disease management, with a particular emphasis on marginalised population groups such as people with disability, newly-arrived refugee groups and homeless young people.
Research Interest
Mr Arnott has a strong interest in the social determinants of health and the practice of nursing and healthcare within resource-poor settings and to marginalised population groups. This is well aligned with the University's key theme of Better Health.
