Biography
Paul has been an academic having worked at the University of the South Pacific, University of New South Wales, University of Otago and currently at the University of Tasmania. He has a MCom (Hons) from the University of New South Wales and his PhD from the University of Otago. He is a certified SAP consultant in Strategic Enterprise Management and is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA Australia). He has taught at all levels of the undergraduate degree and the postgraduate level. He has supervised PhD, Masters and Honours students to the successful completion of their degrees. Paul has been on the editorial panel of special issues for the Pacific Accounting Review, Business Horizons, and Measuring Business Excellence. He has been a reviewer to the Australian Accounting Review, European Management Journal, and Journal of Organizational Change Management to list a few.Paul has co-authored the book 'Setting Performance Targets' which was published in 2012 by Business Expert Press. Paul has extensive executive education and facilitated candidates preparing for examinations by both the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants (NZICA) and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants ( CIMA) in New Zealand. Currently, Paul is the Academic Advocate for ISACA at the University of Tasmania. Previously known as the Information Systems Audit and Control Association, ISACA engages in the development, adoption and use of globally accepted, industry-leading knowledge and practices for information systems.Paul is passionate about multi-disciplinary research which has practical implications for business. His current interests address the growing presence of information systems and technology which raises issues of governance, control, performance measurement and management.

Paul's teaching expertise includes: Enterprise Systems Management, Management Accounting, Control Systems, Performance Measurement and Management, Accounting Information Systems, Risk Management and Governance of Information Systems.
