Biography
Penny joined the University of Tasmania after completing a PhD at University College London. Prior to embarking on PhD research Penny was employed by the University of Manchester on a large health service evaluation. Prior to moving to the UK, Penny worked at the University of New South Wales on a prospective study of hepatitis C transmission and several smaller projects centred around risk behaviours in young people.
Research Interest
Penny's work is aligned with the University's theme of Better Health. Her research has a distinctly rural focus, which supports local health services and the local population. Penny's research also supports the Rural Clinical School to demonstrate its effectiveness in delivering a rural medical workforce.
