Biography
Lois Towart is a property academic, qualified valuer and specialist in property finance at the School of the Built Environment at UTS. Her research focuses on housing for older people, aged care and the affordable housing sector. The retirement accommodation research includes retirement villages operated under state legislation, age-segregated manufactured-home estates and rental retirement villages. Lois’s aged care research includes residential aged care plus the delivery of care services to community-based older people. In all categories of property, Lois puts particular emphasis on financial aspects.
