Research Interest
Megan's lab is broadly interested in developing new methods and technologies to reduce terrestrial and aquatic land contamination in a safe, cost-effective and non-destructive way. Research projects are conducted within urban areas of the Sydney catchment, as well as coastal and regional New South Wales. Manipulative glasshouse projects are run in the rooftop facilities of the UTS Science Building. Their research in contaminant phytoremediation considers all stages of the plant life cycle; from seed ecology to seedling growth and plant reproductive cycles.
