Biography

Urban Stormwater Technologies Pty Ltd based in Perth Western Australia has developed a new, effective and simple filter technology to capture and remove particles from water at very high flow rates. The Catch Basin Insert (CBI) stormwater filtration device incorporates the ARI filter material technology and was developed specifically for stormwater, but has far reaching application for a number of industries. We believe that Stormwater is the last remaining, untapped, natural water resource we have as a planet. As there has not been a commercially viable means to filter stormwater to date stormwater is still being treated as a waste water transported to outfalls as quickly and efficiently as possible with no regard for water quality. The CBI captures 95% of the wind and water carried waste that enter the drains and "filter the stormwater" to below 150 Micron at over 30 L/s. Stormwater can now be transformed using the existing stormwater infrastructure from a waste water into a new water resource for all. Our team has been built gradually over the 10 year period and consists of knowledgeable, passionate people who are all here to make a positive difference.
