Biography

 ·         Dr Wang Yi Shi is a Ministry of Health- accredited consultant dermatologist with more than 12 years of clinical experience. Besides treating general skin problems, her areas of expertise include skin allergy( contact dermatitis), drug allergy, acne, pigmentation and lasers. ·         Dr Wang graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Melbourne, Australia. She then embarked on specialist training in Internal Medicine and received the Membership of the Royal College of Physicians( MRCP) from the United Kingdom in 2003. She subsequently underwent advanced specialist training in Dermatology where she trained at the department of dermatology at Changi General Hospital, as well as the National Skin Centre, Singapore. She was conferred as fellow of the Academy of Medicine in 2008. ·         In 2009, she was awarded the human manpower development program scholarship where she underwent further training in skin allergy and drug allergy, at the Skin and Cancer Foundation of Victoria and the Royal Alfred Hospital, Australia. ·         Prior to starting W skin and laser clinic, she was a consultant dermatologist at the department of dermatology, Changi General Hospital. She was in charge of the contact dermatitis clinic where she treated many patients with suspected skin allergies and drug allergies. She is also honoured to have received the best service award and long service award from Changi General Hospital. She currently remains a visiting consultant at Changi General Hospital. ·         Active in dermatological research and education, Dr Wang has published numerous scientific research articles in peer-reviewed medical journals. She is currently senior clinical lecturer at the School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. She remains actively involved in postgraduate dermatology specialist training. She has given many lectures to general practitioners and to the public on various skin conditions. She has been interviewed and featured in newspapers, magazines and talk shows, sharing about her experience in treating skin and hair problems. ·         Dr Wang is a member of the Royal College of Physicians(United Kingdom), a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine of Singapore. She is also the current honorary treasurer of the Dermatological Society of Singapore, and a member of the Environmental and Occupational Dermatology Society, Singapore. She is also certified as an international master trainer for Restylane treatments.
