Biography
Dr Ben Dodd is a General Surgeon with subspecialty interest in laparoscopic upper gastrointestinal (oesophagogastric) and bariatric surgery. After growing up in Brisbane and completing a Bachelor of Science degree, Ben graduated in Medicine from the University of Queensland in 2001. He then completed his specialty training in the UK and Ireland, obtaining Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in 2013. Dr Dodd returned to Brisbane to undertake further fellowship training in complex laparoscopic upper GI cancer and bariatric surgeries at the Princess Alexandra and Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospitals. He also completed the Australasian Fellowship exam and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) during this time.
