Dr Eddie Cheng

Biography

 Dr Cheng is a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon specialising in breast surgery (including breast augmentation, breast reduction, breast reconstruction, and breast lift), skin cancer surgery, facial surgery (facelift, eyelid surgery), and body contouring (abdominoplasty, liposuction). Dr Cheng completed his medical degree at the University of Queensland in 1996 and went on to a three-year residency and then four years of general surgical training at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.     Dr Cheng decided to pursue his interest in plastic and reconstructive surgery completing an additional four years of specialist training at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and at the Austin Hospital in Melbourne. At the completion of his Fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery, Dr Cheng gained further experience in Canada and Taiwan, undertaking training in microsurgery for head and neck cancer and cosmetic surgery.  Dr Cheng is passionate about clinical teaching. He is an Associate Clinical Lecturer at the University of Queensland and a Clinical Tutor at Bond University. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (Plastic Surgery) and a member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Australian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.
