He is a registered medical doctor in Myanmar with a Master’s in Public Health and over 2 years’ experience in cross border Health programme management including China- Myanmar DFID funded Primary Health Care programme. Tun also has more than four years’ experience within the clinical field working as a Health System Strengthening Manager in post- conflict areas. He develops public awareness posters to highlight the early warning signs of childhood cancer, and conducts pilot surveys to explore the needs of patients and family members during hospitalisation. Making the transition from communicable disease programmes to non-communicable disease programmes has made Tun more eager to find the unreported childhood cases in Myanmar in the future.
