Biography
Yolanda Brown is a double MOBO Award winning saxophonist and the premier female saxophonist in the UK. With her debut album, “April Showers May Flowers”, peaking at No.1 on the iTunes and Amazon Jazz charts, Yolanda has also toured with The Temptations, Diana Krall, Courtney Pine and Billy Ocean and collaborated with artists such as Mica Paris, Julian Marley and as part of Jools Holland’s Rhythm and Blues Orchestra. Alongside side her extraordinary musical talents, Yolanda is also a keen foodie and can complete a Rubik’s cube in under five minutes! Yolanda first connected with World Child Cancer when invited to play at the charity’s Gala Dinner at the Underglobe. Once hearing about the work carried out by World Child Cancer to support the 300,000 children that develop cancer each year, Yolanda was keen to further lend her support.
