Biography
John J.P. Kastelein serves as a Medical and Scientific advisory board at AFFiRiS AG. Dr. Kastelein is Professor of Medicine at the Department of Vascular Medicine at the Academic Medical Center (AMC) of the University of Amsterdam, where he holds the Strategic Chair of Genetics of Cardiovascular Disease. His main research interest is in the development of novel therapies for atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease. Dr. Kastelein has published over 850 research papers and is a member of the Steering Committees of numerous lipid lowering and cardiovascular intervention trials.
