Biography

 Dr. Jürgen, Dipl.-Ing MScIA Ph.D. was the Chief Executive Officer of Deutsche Post AG and KomMa Hamburg GmbH. Dr. Grossmann has been the Managing Partner of Georgsmarienhuette Holding GmbH (also known as Georgsmarienhuette GmbH) since 1993 and its Owner. He has been Owner of Georgsmarienhütte Holding GmbH since 2007. Dr. Grossmann served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of RWE AG from October 1, 2007 to June 30, 2012. He served as an Executive Vice President at RWE Power AG. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Georgsmarienhuette Holding GmbH. He served as Managing Partner and Owner of Georgsmarienhütte Holding GmbH from 1997 to 2006 and also served as its Chief Executive Officer. He serves as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of SURTECO AG. He has been a designated Member of the Board of Management for RWE A G since November 1, 2007. He served as the Chairman of the Management of Georgsmarienhütte Holding GmbH until December 2006. He is a Member of Supervisory Board of Deutsche Postbank AG and Evonik Trading GmbH. He served as a Member of the Board of Hanover Acceptances Limited since 2003. He served as a Member of the Advisory Board of NRW.BANK from January 1, 2011 to June 29, 2012. Dr. Grossmann served as a Member of Economic Advisory Board of RWE AG. He served as a Member of Supervisory Board of Messer Group Gmbh since September 2006. He served as a Member of the Supervisory Board of Volkswagen AG from May 3, 2006 to May 3, 2011. He served as a Member of Supervisory Board of Tognum AG until December 31, 2007. He served as a Member of the Advisory Board of IKB Deutsche Industriebank AG. He served as a Member of Supervisory Board of Deutsche Post AG until May 10, 2006. He served as a Member of Supervisory Board of RAG AG, MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH, Deutsche Bahn AG, British American Tobacco (Industry) GmbH, BATIG Gesellschaft für Beteiligungen mbH, British American Tobacco (Germany) Beteiligungen GmbH, Gesellschaft für Stromwirtschaft m.b.H., Ardex GmbH and Dresdner Bank (Advisory Board North), Member of the Business Advisory Board of RWE. He served as a Member of the Supervisory Board of DEA Deutsche Erdoel AG (Formerly known as RWE DEA AG) from November 14, 2007 to January 24, 2008. Dr. Grossmann served as a Member of the Supervisory Board of RAG Coal International until December 2006, Wilhelm Karmann GmbH until December 2006, Deutsche Post World Net AG until May 2006, Klöckner & Co. AG until 2002 and A.I.S. AG until 2002 and MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH. He studied at Ferrous Metallurgy in Clausthal. He studied Economics at Göttingen, Freiburg and Purdue/USA (business administration). He had numerous foreign internships at South Africa, Japan, USA, Brazil and France. He held various scholarships from Study Foundation of the German Public, Rotary Foundation, German Marshall Fund, Atlantic Bridge "Young Leader" and French American Foundation). He has a Masters in metallurgical engineering from Technical University Clausthal, in Business Administration (MSIA) from Purdue University's Krannert School, USA, a PhD in engineering from the Technical University of Berlin and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Purdue University in 2000.
