Biography
She is a senior encoder and researcher at the Austrian Centre for Digital Humanities. With an academic background in cultural history and anthropology and a strong interest in the impact of digital technologies on all kinds of humanities studies, she has been focusing on structural and semantic annotations of various genres.
Research Interest
Having specialized in XML based technologies, much of her day-to-day work is dedicated to XSLT, XPath, and XQuery. In recent years, she has developed a particular expertise in digital encoding techniques, notably in TEI. For quite some time she has been in charge of the institute’s metadata, working with TEI headers and CMDI records. In her current research activities, the Semantic Web and SKOS have started to play a central role.
