Biography
Mr. Michael Devoy has been Chief Medical Officer and Head of Medical Affairs and Pharmacovigilance for Pharmaceuticals Division at Bayer HealthCare AG since February 2014. Mr. Devoy worked for several years in clinical medicine in London and Leicester, UK. He became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in London in 1989. His career in the industry began when he joined Glaxo Group Research in Clinical Pharmacology. He served various positions of increasing responsibility in Medical Affairs and Clinical Development at Glaxo SmithKline with postings to Australia and Singapore. He joined the former Schering AG in 2005 as Senior Vice President, Global Medical Development and was Senior Vice President, Head of Global Medical Affairs & Pharmacovigilance in Bayer HealthCare's Pharmaceuticals Division since 2007. Dr. Devoy studied Medicine and Pharmacology at University College London and graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MB, BS) in 1987.
