Biography
1985 – 1992 Study of Earth Sciences at the University of Vienna; Diploma exams with honors. 1989 – 1992 Diploma thesis at the Institute of Petrology with Prof. W. Richter, additionally supervised by Prof. G. Fuchs. Title of the diploma thesis: "Metamorphosis of the Paragneiss in the Monotonous Series (SE Moldanubikum)". 1989 – 1999 Mapping for the Geologische Bundesanstalt as a foreign employee on the map sheets ÖK 180 Winklern and ÖK 179 Lienz. 1993 – 1999 Dissertation at the University of Vienna (Institute of Petrology and Institute of Geology) with Prof. W. Richter and Prof. M. Thöni. Title of the dissertation: "The PTt development of eclogites in the Schoberkristallin as evidence for early epidemic continental subduction in the Eastern Alpine crystalline." Rigorosum on June 30, 1999. The dissertation was conducted as part of the research projects "Eclogites in the Eastern Alpine Crystalline in the South of the Tauern Window" and "Eo-Alpine eclogites in the Austroalpine Basement south of the Tauern Window". 1990 – 1999 Collaboration on research projects: Petrological and geochemical investigations to clarify the development history of the eastern section of the Moldanubian crystalline [Prof. W. Richter]. Geological research in East Ladakh - Chamba (India) [Prof. G. Fox]. Geological-petrological research in the easternmost Ladakh (Himalaya, India) [Prof. G. Fox].
