Biography
Dan is responsible for leading the Medical Technology and Evidence (MTE) division of Global Orthopaedic Technology. The MTE division is responsible for Production, Research and Development (R&D), and Clinical Research, and is tasked with ensuring that Global products are safe, effective, and supported by robust clinical evidence. Dan completed a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours and a Master of Engineering Science at Adelaide University, followed by a Doctorate of Philosophy degree (in orthopaedic biomechanics) at Flinders University. Dan then completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Lund, Sweden before embarking on a career in industry, where Dan has 12 years of experience in a variety of R&D, sales management, marketing, and business development roles at Portland Orthopaedics, Johnson and Johnson Medical and Zimmer. Dan’s most recent role before joining Global was Asia Pacific Director of Research and Development for Zimmer.
