Stuart Baxter

Biography

Stuart is presently the Co-Fund Manager of Riverside Asia Fund. Stuart has led investment teams across three of Riverside’s funds. He originally launched Riverside Europe Fund and supervised all negotiations, legal due diligence and post-acquisition board work. In 2000, Stuart transitioned to head Riverside’s San Francisco office as a Managing Partner of RCAF. In 2007 he launched Riverside’s Asia Fund. Prior to joining Riverside in 1997, he was Director of Crimson Capital’s Czech Restructuring and Privatization Group for two years. Prior to that, Stuart was President of AI International Corporation, the U.S.-based holding company for a high-net-worth Kuwaiti family. He spent 12 years at AI International Corporation, managing various operating businesses, venture capital and real estate portfolios and executing over 30 acquisitions. Stuart began his career in investment banking in 1980 as an analyst at Credit Suisse First Boston.
