Biography
Dr. Plotkin is a vital contributor to immunology and the protection of millions of people as the developer of the rubella vaccine now in standard use throughout the world, and as the co-developer of the recently approved pentavalent rotavirus vaccine. He has also made significant achievements in the development and application of critically necessary immunizations including anthrax, oral polio, rabies, varicella, and cytomegalovirus. Dr. Plotkin is the author of the current standard medical reference “Vaccines”, now in its 6th edition.
