At IIASA, she works on scenario and policy analyses, specializing in the fields of bioenergy and forestry. Dr. Korosuo received her PhD in Forestry from Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), Sweden, in 2013 and her MSc in Agriculture and Forestry from University of Helsinki, Finland, in 2009. Her dissertation work focused on integration of spatial preferences into strategic forest planning. Prior to joining IIASA, Dr. Korosuo worked at the Department of Forest Resource Management at SLU in Umeå (Sweden) with forestry scenario and geographic information systems (GIS) analyses, climate change models, and teaching and supervising in forestry decision support systems (DSS). Furthermore, she has experience in multi-criteria analysis, participatory planning, and different forest inventory methods in the context of forest planning systems
